Elementary and Early Childhood Students

1. Outdoor activity books

Toddler Activity Book from Barnes and Noble

2. CDs of Preschool songs

Music is magical. It is a great teaching tool because it stimulates the brain and helps create associations in a fun way. It can be incorporated in lessons, exercise, or meditation/naps.

Click here to explore Kaplan's list for children's CD's.

3. Constructive play toys and games

Toddlers and preschoolers still need to have hands-on play to help grow their brains. Make sure to integrate dramatic play into their day and introduce new puzzles, blocks, or other toys that enhance their fine motor skills. Make the most out of every learning experience for your child.

Click here to explore some "Learning at Home" activities!

4. Books!

During quarantine, many parents and teachers have held conversations with their kids about the issues of racial injustice. These conversations are important to have with kids of all ages. Books are a great avenue to introduce these conversations.

Click here to access PBS's list of 13 children's books on race and diversity.

5. "Classroom" Decorations

It may be difficult for young kids to transition into the school mindset when they are away from the classroom. Visual aids help kids associate an idea with something tangible, so have some fun decorating!

Maybe your class has a theme, so try to incorporate items of that theme in their classroom space!

Click here to view a list of possible fun classroom decorations from Amazon.

Happy Learning! :)
